Rapid Coatings announced today that it has acquired the property at 35 Avco Road in Haverhill, MA. and plans to relocate in August, 2022 The new building will roughly triple Rapid’s existing floorspace and provide dual manufacturing areas to allow for increased automation and efficiencies in the conformal coating process.
The state of the art building features a monitored security system with both external and internal cameras, power generator capable of powering the facility in the event of a power outage/blackout and temperature and humidity control for both manufacturing floors.
George Grom, President, indicated that the new facility will allow Rapid to reach the next level in process automation and control of the entire process. “After 18 months of searching for a new facility, we were fortunate to locate a building that was built in 2006 and only requires minor renovations to the existing floor plan. The relocation to Haverhill works well for us for a number of reasons, Haverhill is centrally located for our customer base, we have a significant number of employees that reside in Haverhill and the Merrimack Valley region and the additional floor space will allow us to continue to automate and provide increased operating efficiencies.”
