During a ceremony on April 11th at the Putnam Club in Gillette Stadium Harrison Brown accepted the silver award from Peter Abair Executive Director, MassEcon, the state’s private sector partner in promoting business growth in Massachusetts at the 20th annual Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Awards.
From an initial list of 70 companies that were nominated, Rapid was recognized as one of 14 finalists for their outstanding contributions to the Massachusetts economy. Companies are selected on the basis of job growth, facility expansion and investment, community involvement and commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity initiatives.
Rapid President, George Grom commented “ We’re proud to be honored as a company that is making contributions to the Massachusetts economy. We’ve have continued to invest, innovation and provide economic impact to Massachusetts and the local economy. Since our relocation to Haverhill, we’ve expanded our work force by 70% and we’ve strived to maintain diversity in our work force as over 50% our employees are from ethic backgrounds that are considered minorities.
