Rapid Coatings began production in their new state of the art facility in September, 2022. The standalone facility triples the amount of floor space available from Rapid’s previous facility in Woburn. The manufacturing layout features separate manufacturing areas for silicone coating applications and for acrylic/urethane coating applications.
The new facility has many upgraded safety and security systems.
George Grom, President Rapid Coatings stated, “After an 18 month search for a new building, we were fortunate to acquire the property at 35 Avco Road in Haverhilll. Our motivation to acquire a building was driven by the need to purchase additional equipment to achieve our goal of automating the entire coating process. The building is located on 4.5 acres and gives us several expansion options when the need arises. We expect Haverhill to be the long-term home of Rapid and we’re very excited about the large labor pool of potential employees located in Haverhill and surrounding towns.”
